REHES IV

On October 6 and 7, the fourth REHES workshop took place in Lugano. After the events of the last three years concentrated on the internal consolidation of the REHES network, this year a focus was put on the exchange with researchers from other countries. Among others, with Emanuela Reale (CNR), Georg Krücken (INCHER Kassel), Anna Kosmützky (Leibniz Institute for Research on Higher Education and Science) and Aldo Geuda (University of Turin), renowned and internationally visible researchers participated in the workshop. 

The program took core points from the REHES position paper and focused in particular on issues of governance, higher education organizations, audiences and spaces of higher education, and career paths in the higher education sector. In addition to the scientific formats, there were of course many opportunities for informal exchange during the breaks and at the joint dinner.

All in all, we can look back on a successful event with exciting presentations, stimulating discussions, and opportunities to explore cooperations. The hosts from the Università della Svizzera Italiana deserve a big thanks – for the warm welcome by Jean-Patrick Villeneuve and Benedetto Lepori and the great organization by Marco Cavallaro, which not only prudently took care of the organization of the conference and excellent catering, but also ensured splendid weather.
