REHES VI
Knowledge Production on Higher Education and Science in Switzerland: Status Quo and Current Trends
On 29 and 30 August 2024, the sixth REHES conference took place at the University of Zurich at the invitation of CHESS. After a welcome address by Prof. Dr Mike Schäfer, Director of CHESS, Dr Christian Leder gave a presentation on the state of development of higher education and science research in Switzerland and discussed examples of institutional contexts of knowledge use and production with the four guests.

Afterwards, the programme moved on to the research presentations: In two tracks, contributors presented academic work from the field and put it up for discussion. The tracks took place on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday concluded with an exchange of experiences on the institutionalisation of university and academic research in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Afterwards, all conference participants were cordially invited to join CHESS in celebrating its 10th anniversary at the garden party.

On Friday morning, the annual meeting of the REHES network took place. This was followed by a discussion on the development prospects of REHES. Further research presentations took place before the conference closed, interrupted by a joint lunch.
The next REHES conference will be organised by Prof. Dr. Franz Barjak (FHNW) and is expected to take place in Olten in 2025.
